Stuart Williams is one of the finest young musical talents I have come across in the UK. Stuart plays all instruments: guitar, mandolin, banjo and more but not only does he play them all at a high level, he can also teach people to play these instruments at any level. As it is often said "Those who can do and those who can't teach." Well, Stuart breaks that ruling. I've sat in on his lessons and he has the savvy it takes to translate music to the young and old through modern songs or old time fiddle tunes. He genuinely cares about his students and the best ways to get the points across. Therefore I can strongly recommend this web-site and every tutorial Stuart produces because I know the arrangements will be thought out, strong, clear and concise. Stuart Williams: a picker's picker and a teacher's teacher. I may have to nab a few of his arrangements for my next book… …Steve Kaufman 3 Time USA Guitar Champ Author for Mel Bay Publications and Homespun Tapes PS If I was taking lessons today I would want them to be with Stuart.
"I have had the pleasure of playing with Stuart and he is one of the finest banjo players on either side of the Atlantic!"…. ROB ICKES :-acclaimed USA Dobro Player and member of BlueHighway
Stuart Williams may well be the most influential bluegrass teacher in England. Due to his unmatched teaching success and the genuine concern for his students and this great music there is now an entire bluegrass community in the Northwest of England where there was none before. He is also an extremely gifted performer on guitar and banjo, and brings this perspective to his more advanced students. A Web-site like this which is based on almost two decades of teaching and performing experience is long overdue… as you say in UK….. BRILLIANT!
